I Live in LA LA Land

I'm a little discombobulated right now.

I assembled my new desk upside down and backwards.
I've had internet and phone issues.
My gas stove wasn't working and I've had to order carryout every night (yes, I even had to break the Sabbath even though I bought a lot of food on Saturday night and didn't realize til Sunday that I had no stove nor microwave).
There are boxes everywhere.
I have no idea where clean underwear is (don't worry, I don't smell).
I almost got charged for damaging my rental truck (on the inside part, I didn't even realize).

But who cares?  I live in LA!  And it's awesome!

It's Friday, Friday...

This weekend:

My cousin is getting married!

My other cousin had a baby that I will see for the first time!

I am a week away from moving to Los Angeles!

My family is here to distract me from moving stress!

Aggggghghghghgh!

In other news, I had no idea that one of my favorite gymnasts just recovered from cancer.  Thank goodness I read UK tabloid papers, or I never would've seen this article on Shannon Miller.

Oh, and did you hear that my favorite designer, Prabal Gurung, teamed up with my favorite clothing store, J Crew, for a little collaboration?  Amazing!!!  I just might need that top or dress with an exploding bow.

Once was More Than Enough

It's that time of year again.

Time to gear up for Duck Beach, aka Mormon Spring Break.

I know many people who attend year after year and love it. It's a beautiful place, beautiful homes, wonderful beach, and plenty of volleyball, parties, and meeting new people.

However, it's not really for me. 

I never attended while living in DC and somehow I ended up flying back to the East Coast the first May after I moved to AZ, and I found myself in a house with 20 other people, wondering how the weekend would turn out.

I'll admit, though, that I'm quite interested in this documentary that will probably be made about this little esoteric weekend.
