The inversion was terrible around then, and I hadn't seen blue skies for days. It was so crazy taking off and getting up above that nastiness. Tiny mountain peaks all around!
Oh, beautiful Arizona winter.
Grandma has adopted a friendly neighborhood cat.
We survived a harrowing drive by my grandma through the streets of Phoenix during rush hour and a setting set that was quite blinding. We didn't let him drive on the way home.
We were headed to great aunt Betty's 85th birthday.
She looks great for 85! She's in the purple.
A little Bahama Bucks action later that night. Of course. Thank goodness Utah has some now.
The next day I drove up to the old office and had lunch with Leslie. These spicy feta fries at a Greek place are amazing, and I had missed them.
Pool time after some Orangetheory time.
On Saturday I started to feel quite sick, with some weird feelings in my lungs, congestion, not breathing well, and a fever. After a quick visit to urgent care, I still went south to visit the Coolidge grandparents.
Pretty barren drive.
More pool time. Maybe the heat would make my fever feel not so bad? I hadn't been that sick in awhile.
Doc told me to wait and start the z-pack in a few days, but I jumped right in and thankfully I started feeling better very soon after. Bless drugs.
